ive seen so many people say that its dead, but theres still such a good archive out there.

Nah, not completely dead I still see it a few times on instagram but its mostly them nostalgic pages. its just transformed and branched out into different niche design just like most trends. just give it a few more years and we'll be back to it but it will be so different

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s dead, but I’d say it’s definitely lost its relevancy, which isn’t synonymous with dead, I just think that it isn’t in the spotlight anymore.
I remember when all I’d see online was vaporwave influence and it kind of got used and abused to death, so I think people kind of got fed up and moved on, but besides the fact that it’s become pushed to the side, it’s definitely a charming style that could still (if done properly) prove to be effective.

I don't think any genre will ever be dead, a part of the new generation would probably pick it up
