i need help

how can i make gmod use all of my cpu power to get the best fps in game?

Since it is an old game it relies mostly on single core performance. So you need a strong single treadhed CPU. Some servers support multi-treadhing rendering which you can turn on to improve fps. Other options are turning down the settings in general but it probably wont boost much. I have a pretty beast pc and some servers still cant reach 30fps+

Try changing the starting commands for Garry's Mod.
You can find them in their properties menu, now you just have to google how to improve fps rate and how to use all cores and then you'd be set

In the advanced graphic settings there is a multi-core rendering option which allows gmod to run on more than 1 core

check your graphics settings on GMOD

and do not hesitate to optimize them to the maximum of your PC configuration (-;

Task Manager -> Details -> hl2.exe -> Set Affinity -> Check all CPU cores. Hope I was helpful

Ensure it's a higher priority and get more dedicated RAM! for your PC!

Nearly impossible... 32bit clients cant do such things sadly :(

Gmod is a very old game, when it's comes to boosting your fps there is not much that can be done.
