i played the game for 5 years (2013 - 2018) and i never bought it i just found a cracked account in 2013 and i still have it now so you can search around for one

lol if u wanna play premium servers then buy, its worth it but if u wanna play with friends only then dont lol crack is as good

Yes you have to, this game will never die, due to the dev team or the mod community, 20box isn't anything compared to how much you wanna play it

I feel like the only reason to buy the game now is to experiment with java development or to play with mods. I find that playing the base game is kinda underwhelming and I repeatedly saw myself not finishing worlds and still creating new ones whenever I would load up the game. I feel like Fortnite is the new minecraft

I think yes, game is still getting many updates. I bought my account few years ago on mojang site for 5$ or something like this,
