Minecraft 1.13+ better?

Depends on what you want to do. I like earlier versions for pvp and newer versions for normal game play. More to do in newer version.

I stopped playing the updates after 1.12.2 I couldn't see the point and the good mods are in the lower versions

for sure 1.13 is great, its quite alot we asked for to, so over all i quite like it

1.8.2 was the best of MINECRAFT - pvp wasn't broken. I've been in heaven. Right now MINECRAFT is only for Adventure mode and MINIGAMES.

I like this version of minecraft i think it is really good.

1.13 is so unstable but the ocean update is awesome honestly.. made the game a lot more fun!!!!

Nah. 1.8.9 is the best version. I already have a Realm with 5 Friends, its fun and so but for pvp i prefer 1.7.10 or 1.8.9

Personally, I always play 1.8 unless I'm playing either modded which requires 1.12.2+ or 1.7.10 if I'm playing an old mod pack. After 1.8, they completely ruined the PvP aspect which ruined it for a lot of players that didn't play survival or creative servers. I believe they are planning on bringing back the old combat mechanics which is good news as more servers can update to newer versions to integrate better features.
