Dating apps: do they all have the same purpose?

I wanted to bring up a topic that I have in mind lately.

Do you think that all applications to meet people like Tinder or Badoo have the same purpose?
In other words, do you think that all of them are used to find a partner, make friends or have sex?
Or do you think that each one of these apps has a different purpose?

In my opinion, I think Tinder is more suitable for finding a partner and Badoo is more dedicated to looking only for sex. Do you think I'm right?

For example Tinder does not let you send photos, which prevents you from playing to send you sexual photos to give a spicy touch to the talk and however Badoo does allow it.


What app of this type do you recommend me for those of us who are only looking for sex?

I think badoo is your best option if you're looking for sex but tinder is also a good dating app

I feel like most of them are shady. Especially the pay ones. Even tinder will get you with there pay scheme. Just don't fall for it and stay with the free version.

Just use snapchat, dickpics galore. Nah but fr, I use tinder and I've genuinely met up with a few grls from it. Seems to be legit, haven't been catfished yet lmao

It's all the same.. They serve the same purpose.. which is to get you more access to people you wanna meet. The rest is up to you once you meet them.

Here in Brazil, Tinder is mostly used for sex, but I have a friend who's dating someone she knew through Tinder 4 years ago. My second partner was from Tinder too, but well, we didn't last long. Six months only. Then there's Happn and OkCupid - the latter is more used by people looking for long-term relationships.

Gay apps are almost all focused on sex: Grindr, Scruff and Hornet are filled with naked torsos and unsolicited dick pics.
