Afriend of mine recommended that I watch Pop Team Epic. I watched the first episode and I have one question... What the fuck am I watching?

So basicallyit'sa series of mini-skits based off of meta humor with pop culture references added for good measure. Thanks I get it now. Originally,I thought it was just a strange satire show or something.
