I mainly still play 1.8 because of mods I like to use that haven't been updated for the newer versions yet. And part of me still likes the relative simplicity of the game back then.

Who remembers the infinite fire that was in alpha because that was such a pain and caused so much lag.

I prefer 1.8.9 and 1.7.10 over any version of Minecraft for PvP. Now if it was a casual thing with friends Iwould choose to use the newest version provided, as it has much more to explore!

I prefer 1.7 combat but with the items/animals/mobs of 1.14. The new one is more complicated than the old one though so I prefer the old one i guess

1.8+ is dogshit versions of minecraft change my mind.

Older minecraft eg, 1.5.2 because you could play for real hardcore

Both are fine and both have cons and pros, but with all the new content that's recently been added to the game i think the current state of MC is good.

I, as an old pvp player, prefer any version before the 1.8, however, the version I like the most is the 1.7.10.
The pvp system's just dumb at this point, they're fixing it soon though.
