What are some of the best FPS settings for Optifine on Minecraft 1.8.9?

Literally set everything to the minimum. However, I do emphasize to literally disable any fancy particle effects from the game.

Having a nVidia Quadro P5000, core Xeon, 128gb RAM ddr4 etc

Set everything to low, and disable any shaders. Also, try to allocate more ram if you are still lagging.

Ill agree with Villainy. Set everything as low as possible if u are lagging.

Disable animations! These little Things will bring you a lot of fps!

I still have 1000 FPS. I love having my 1000 FPS on a cubic game.
