Most Wanted Genre for a Game Developer to work on?

Besides mobile games and apple product stuff, what is the most desired genre of gaming to work on? I feel like a Fallout 3 type game is sorely needed, one that actually makes a player think about all of the different factors, with puzzles that actually bring a reward of having figured out.

Are you talking about what would be better for a developer who is looking for something to pad out their portfolio, or something you specifically want?

Because honestly, anything looks good on a resume as long as it's not porn. I feel like developers should start out with simple roguelikes if they want to branch out into the RPG market.

personally i'd like to see more open-world rpg games like skyrim where you have complete freedom to do anything you want

i'd also like to see more old-style RTS games like age of empires, and real-time grand strategy games like hearts of iron 4 and EUIV. less turn-based games like civ pls
