It's fun for about 30 mins once you get bored of looking at all the crazy stuff people have built. Once you can past that it's just regular minecraft except occasionally some full decked guy is gonna come out of no where and kill you taking all your stuff.
2b2t is only really entertaining to play on if you actually go on with a plan. Otherwise your usually gonna sit in queue for 8 hours until you finally get in, establish a base and then get griefed while your offline; rinse and repeat.
If your willing to deal with those aspects though then I'd say it's alright, however you'll be dealing with lag and traveling the nether highways for a while before you get far enough away that you don't get discovered by accident.
