if you are a very beginner, you can try RPG Maker MV or AppGameKit, after you can/must work on real game engine like Unity or Unreal

I prefer Unity over Unreal because it has a huge set of assets and also a huge user community.

Unreal engine 4 may be better than unity, depends on the type of game and how you want it to look.

Depending on your computer. Unreal Engine is great for me bcus of it's photorealistic ability. But it's also require a stronger PC.

You'll have a lot more fun learning Blueprints in UE4 than you would, outright learning to code C++ in unity right away.

Ue4 is also very optimized in comparison to Unity.

UnrealEngine 4 probably. I dont like the looks of most Unity games.
Depends which you are most experienced with and if you want to create 2D or 3D games
