City of love prison is kinda new and interesting, also like master of gu where the mc is not the naive kind

This will be crazy, prepare yourself. So let's start. Dead Tube, Jagaaan, Gantz, Mahou Shoujo of the End, Goumon Tournament, Uzumaki (this is really bizarre, be careful), Dorohedoro, Homunculus, Ibitsu (read the two versions). Well, that's all I can remember, have a nice nightmare.

Not overtly dark, nor am I a huge fan of anime, but I really enjoyed Betterman.... (although I could have been involved in the production of it and might be somewhat biased).

Plus Hinoki is such a babe.

Second Berserk gets really dark at times, Tokyo Ghoul also fits that theme pretty well
