Prefered Linux distro ?

personally I use ubuntu and will recommend it. it's easy to start with.

I would recommend linux mint based on deb

in my experience as a seasoned linux user, ubuntu will always find a way to piss me off. either the sound driver is choppy or i cant get some game to work on it. I cant seem to commit to linux 100% because of it. f*ck open source drivers.

I always liked light ubuntu versions... but yeah, the drivers are a nightmare sometimes.

I really like ubuntu, which I do not use anymore for a very long time. That I have not beause too much use too.

Nowadays I like CentOS, before I use to configure RedHat and Mandrake.
