Not sure it's on crunchyroll but d.gray-man probably has the dark vibes you're after
But tokyo ghoul is on netflix, ajin too and psycho pass and those are all dark but good

Look into steins;gate if you haven't, the first season is a masterpiece.

Tokyo Ghoul is a nice candidat in my opinion, or dead man wonderland but if you're into "scans" you'll be blessed with sooo many good ones

Would recommend parasite, another, shiki, and Tokyo ghoul

Another is really cool, may be a little too crazy at times, and Tokyo Ghoul was a fun spooky watch. Also a big fan of Psycho Pass.

I can only suggest the God eater. Perhaps this is a similar anime, but it is worth watching for people who are interested in the theme of the post-Apocalypse.

Deathnote is pretty dark. I have heard Higurashi: When they Cry is also another dark anime. I have never seen it though. Was brought up in passing when talking about anime with a few friends.
