why do we continue to accept mediocrity

Let's be honest allmost everyone when we started watching anime have watch shitty anime like SAO or TG, we all have, but when the time goes on and we watch more anime and learn about them we start to gain a better taste of what to watch and what not.
So my question is: why do we continue to accept mediocrity? like why there's every fucking season more than 100 animes that are the fucking same, they dont even try to give the MC a personality, they're all the same ass looking kirito mother fuckers wtf.

and i got this question in mind. Like, there's no sense to continue accepting it, where the fuck do the companys get all the founds to make all this fucking shitty animes? they get it from us who we still let them make shitty ass content and gain money from it anyway.
