what is your worst virus experience?

In 2008 I tried to become a hacker, I was a stupid 14 year old. I downloaded an old hack software which I can't find anything about on the internet anymore, but it was called pro rat. I infected my own computer with a remote attack trojan to test it out and hit the button "matrix chat". Welp, I got a matrix chat screen, managed to send one message and get all my drivers deleted.

That's when I lost card data and had to solve this whole problem in the bank because of the damn virus, since then I have been very careful.

I remember that my computer was entirely blocked off and that a picture was taken of me. I was really scared especially since I was quite young at that time. I never visited the same kind of websites anymore that caused me having the issues!

Miner virus, i gotten 100% cpu and my gpu* got overheat and broke up, so i started new life.

I somehow got randomware from a setup which I ran before without any issues, I think I forgot to untick all the ad offers, I am not sure though.
So that time I got infected with GandCrab v5.0.4. which encrypted all my files, luckily there was some guy on Twitter (I forget the name unfortunately) working on a decrypt tool which got my files back, god bless ya. :please:

computer locked by ransomware. I said screw that and bought a new computer (it was old anyways)

I was really dumb so I downloaded something and every couple hours I would get a jeff the killer jumpscare so I wouldn't ever get used to it so I decided to wipe the whole pc coz I already backed it up onto another

When i was little and stupid i used to download all kinds of files. One time i downloaded a rat, for god sake it was a desktop pc not laptop, cuz i couldnt turn off my pc anyway, i needed to unplug it. but i was smart enough then to log in into safe mode and remove that dudes rat.
