Gmod server donations

Hi, ive been looking at starting up a gmod server primarily for my mates and i but i dont wanna have to spend alot on server hosting. Id host from home but my Internet is trash. Just wondering if it would be unreasonable for me to ask for donations on my server for exclusive wepaons/pointshop stuff and if it would be likely that anyone would.

Most servers nowadays ask for donations as a upcost fee for playing. Its almost expected to get the better equipment and game play features!

with donations all servers have become a pay to win service.
if you pay you get more mony then the rest and better stuff
it sucks

I prefere game on the server without donation without message that send all the 5 minutes

Back when i used to host i'd get donations so easily, DarkRP is where its at for donations.

Im hosting a deathrun server and donations dont really come in but for the most part darkrp is where it is for donations

Not unreasonable at all, set donation goals and use promethius available on gmod store
