What are the best ways to advertise a server?

What are the best ways you know of advertising servers?

By advertising in discord servers and paying for famous people

Or you can post it in discord servers or even in forums like this, Just add a description on whats in the server and what the player base.

My method is kind of scummy, but what I did is, I made friends on other servers, then the next day I would tell them about my server and often they'd come and play.

if you have a big budget, you could possibly pay streamers or youtubeur to promote your server

Is there any free method!? iam trying to find a way to advertise
