Depends on your style and on the tier you are playing, but the best top laners are usually tanks. ( Maokai, Malphite, Shen, Orn)

My top laner would be Vi, her passive w be doing so much damage.

When I play lol, I usually play Jax, a champion who is easy to play and quick to learn.

Sett and mordekaiser are the best toplaner right now

To those rare moments I play, I usually play Rumble, Nasus or the chains guy.
