Atom is good too, but I find VSCode is really good for various developments. Loads of plugins available too!

f you are doing only web development i would go with Sublime Text only, but if you do multiple languages like c#, c++, python, javascript, go etc etc i would definitely go with Visual Studio Code. I prefer Vim though.

Personally, I prefer VS Code, it's customizable, you can download plugins to improve your code and not only !

I switched from sublime and have loved VCode so much more!

I prefer visual studio code; however, I do use both. In my opinion Sublime is more light weight and good for small edits.

I definitly go for visual studio, but thats probably just personal preference as I've used it for a couple years now.

Sublime text is cool, but visual code is better for big projects. I use it as and IDE and sublime for general editing
