Whats the point of needing 15 posts?

Why tell people to post atleast 15 times before being able to download? the only thing you'll end up getting is spammers...

Obviously so they contribute to the community and not make an account just to download a link.

Annoying as hell but makes sense

Edit: Just noticed that it also requires you to make 50+ character long posts and this is kind of close to insanity :f

It's not that hard to make 15 posts that actually contribute something to the community. I'm sure it helps drive up the site's traffic as well.

Well ye the target and effectiveness of this solution are pretty obvious, but still not sure if I would go as far as to limit the replies to 50+ words, sometimes it forces you to create stories instead of quickly nailing your point ^^

I think this is a bit excessive but hey, they run the forum so they can choose the rules. See above my post for what spammers do and I bet it will be reported soon enough

it's slightly annoying but I see why they do It, it inflates there numbers a little bit, they aren't the only website like this that does it, I don't mind contributing to a community that is helping me get what I want.
