because i'm stuck inside my house for now, i'm going to attempt to make a local website that'll have a homepage that has like local weather, time, and maybe interactive calendar. witch would all be hosted off a dedicated "server"(old dual core pc) running Ubuntu server 18.04. i was wondering the best way to go about this should i hard code it with like weather API from a outside source or something if anyone has any references to give me for me to research up on please let me know.

FYI i know there's probably tons of websites out there or would be more convenient to look up "my local weather" and like use google calendar or something but i want to attempt to make it and have it over LAN, why? idk because i want to lol

I like your idea and wanting to do it on your own.. That to me says a lot..
I would defiantly suggest using a outside source for local weather using the API and pulling only the information you want to display..
As for the calendar I've never even attempted to make one. I'm sure you could google something and study some source codes and figure out what you need to do to get it working.. I dont know if your looking to do something special with the calendar or just have a super basic one that shows the day on it.

Weather Api - https://openweathermap.org/api
Calendar in PHP - https://www.startutorial.com/articles/vi...dar-in-php
Calendar in html/java - https://code.daypilot.org/17910/html5-ev...pen-source

This should help get you started on it.. I am curious to see what you make.. If you get it working shoot me a DM with screenshots or something..
