How do I get into Bitcoin/Crypto?

I've always heard stories about crypto currency and its benefits, but I've never understood how to get into Crypto (Mainly to use for transactions, not trading). Any tips/sites to help beginners out?

Either pay by directly transferring out of gemini or get a "phone wallet" and transfer your purchases to phone wallet.
