Best Game devolopinbg software I would say Unity because it is easy to use, Less ram, graphics needed then other, but if you does not have ram and graohics problem then you can choose Unreal Engine 4. but you have to know node thing first, also there is Game Maker: Studio which is popular too, but i have not try that one.

Unreal is definitely great, i really love blueprints

+1 for Unreal Engine. Been using it for quite awhile now and its integration with Quixel Megascans along with its extensive marketplace and tons of tutorial videos on the web make it a great engine for quick but impressive game building

I have been using Unreal engine, it seems easy but it requires a lot of dedication to decorate the functionality of the programming nodes, I got frustrated sometimes, but dedication and patience is the secret

As a hobby game developer that tested both unity and ue4 I can tell you that in my opinion ue4 is the best game engine.
But it depends on what game you are going to make.
2d platformer unity>ue4
3d shooter ue4>unity

As everyone else has already said I recommend Unreal Engine 4, Unity, Gamemaker and Godot

Unity is the best because of the community. Unreal is good as well

Like what everyone else is suggesting probably Unreal Engine 4. It's super solid and has a lot of game making features. If that isn't your cup of tea you could also try Unity which isn't bad.

unreal engine is for high end game development and unity is comming closer to it but unreal has stunning graphics so i would suggest to go with unreal is a bit hard but is more powerful

I think unity3d and unreal, both of which are very great in my opinion.
