Denied We need a Comics section.

The title basically.I haven't really thought about it since I am not interested in them,but since we have an "Anime and Manga" section,the "Movies,Series and TV" section should be renamed to "Movies,Series and Comics".

Or create a new subforum altogether.

Yeah, I think making a separate subforum would be better in the end. The entertainment forum is separated by medium of entertainment (Movies, TV, Music, etc.), so it would be weird to mix comics in with the Movies, Series, and TV section.
Although the bigger question is whether it'll be worth making a new subforum in the end at all, since it depends on the community being active.

A survey can be carried out during a certain period of time to see which users participate in it and how many are favourable or against it. For my part I consider it a good idea, the more possibilities the forum provides to users, the better

Yeah,I think a different subforum under Movies and Series would work best.

And I wouldn't worry about it.A lot of other subforums are kinda dead, or intertwined,such as forum games etc.
If something has activity,it will show up on the recent posts.Better to have it,just in case,cause we definately missed that.

I could probably fill the subforum to the brim with how much I love talking about comics of all kinds, but I do worry a little that my enthusiasm will come off as spamming, haha

You are basically the reason I found out we have no Comics section.
People might take an interest,plus some people might do enjoy comics.You never know.
For the time being,I do think there should be one,even if not widely used.
As long as you are HQ and non-repetitive, go nuts on the Comic section or wherever.

If anyone not into western comics reads this and thinks "I can't participate, I don't know anything about them" please jump in!
I am more than happy to introduce people to new comics and even if they don't become your favourites, you may find something to fill a quarantined afternoon

We tend not to add a section unless there is a massive demand for it. I.E. There is like 100 threads about the subject scattered across the forums which would be moved into it.
I actually can't say I've seen many people talk about comics, I could be wrong though. Do you have a list of already existing threads that would be in the new forum?

Nope, I have to agree with that part.But I can run a quick scan through.
Most likely they won't be enough to call it a considerable amount of threads,but I don't think it hurts too much to leave it there,just in case.It's not uncommon for people to talk about comics in forums.

I mean if there is already considerable interest in the community and there is threads to back it. Then I see no issue why it shouldn't be pushed for final consideration. I just don't see the point in adding a new forum that might take off because we have 80 threads back in 2017 for the topic, know what I mean? The good thing is people are interested in it as shown in this thread but there would need to be good reasoning behind adding it as a forum.
