hello everyone I have a question Does the site speed affect the top search engines like Google?

Yes it does. Not only does it affect your ranking, but the average user will just close the tab if it takes too long to load.

According to a recent study conducted by Brian Dean published yesterday on his blog, page loading speed didnt show any strong correlation with top-ranking websites/keywords.

Obviously, this doesnt mean youre going to build a business on a site that takes 10+ seconds to load.

Google favors websites that give their users a good user experience and answers to the searches people are doing. If your site is slow it will hurt your CTR as the users leave before they reach to where you want them to be.

Yes a reasonable speed does matter. Use GTMETRIX to see if you need to improve the speed. But if you think you have a speed score of 90+ and you will get higher ranking because of that, it will never happen. I check the speed of the top websites all the time and none of them have been optimized for speed score of 90+
