I know that there's Tiger King out there, I just haven't gotten to it.
And just to put my money where my mouth is, here's a recommendation from me:

They Shall Not Grow Old - (2018)

A WW1 documentary by Peter Jackson that only uses interviews from veterans and actual footage from the war.
The movie follows England's side in the war and the young men that enlisted. Around the beginning of the second act, they switch up the style of the documentary that truly made this an engaging experience. Go check it out!

I love a good documentary! I watch a lot of true crime ones, and love a good horror story so predictably the doc "Cropsey" is easily among my faves.
From the description:

"Realizing the urban legend of their youth has actually come true; two filmmakers delve into the mystery surrounding five missing children and the real-life boogeyman linked to their disappearances."

The best part? It's all up on youtube for free! So if you want to see how the lines between true crime and horror stories can blend and blur, sit down with a beer and some quarantine popcorn (quarancorn) and enjoy!

Honey Badgers: Masters of Mayhem, they are extremely interesting, intelligent and truly fearless animals. I'd watch it just for Stoffle the Honey Badger. Check it out!

Newark 1967, good doc about the riots that occurred during the time. 60's were a wild time man, so much happened in that decade.

I've never even considered watching an entire doc on Honey Badgers before but now you've piqued my curiosity. I'm going to have to check this out.

Continuing my trend of recommending dark topics, I also found the doc series "Evil Genius" to be incredibly fascinating. It outlines the murder of an American man named Brian Wells back in 2003 wherein an explosive collar was placed around his neck and he was sent on am impossiblescavenger hunt for the key. It's an insane case filled with insane people and it's all very sadly true.
