Blue snowball is still pretty viable as a usb mic, unless you have an interface already then the shure sm57/sm58 are pretty good xlr's

Seconded on the SM57 for instruments and SM58 for vocals if you have an XLR mixer

But for a USB microphone, I find the Blue Yeti series (X and Mini) to be good

For a $50 budget, the blue snow is the best choice. I still have mine but switched to a AT2035

I've heard really good things about the Blue Yeti.

I have a Samson Meteorite but haven't used it - been using my MacBook Pro's default mic + Razer Kiyo's mic. Apparently my Razer Kiyo's mic is better-quality than the more-expensive Astro A50 headset's mic?? I used to use the Astro A50 for streaming but apparently the mic gave me a lisp on stream, and using the Razer Kiyo didn't. It's so confusing and I don't understand why.

I personally have a build in mic but a lot of my friends use Blue Snowball or Blue Yeti. They have really good quality when in a vc with them.
