I've had a HP for many years which has been great. A couple of years ago I got a microsoft surface which is brilliant. I can't fault it.

Please don't talk about apple, i am talking about Windows laptop.

If you are looking for something that is really rugged, fork out the money and buy a top-end Toshiba. Those are the laptops used by the military in the field.

I personally recommend Asus, I have only had good experiences with them, bought their laptop that they put a desktop ryzen and 580 in, thing is a beast, and still runs great after being a year and a half old... only issue is it is too big... that is my fault tho. What I will say though is avoid Dell, and acer, Dell because they are overpriced, prime example is the price difference between alienware and Asus ROG, alien ware with roughly same specs is usually almost a grand more than a similar ROG computer (you are basically paying for the brand, like when you buy apple). And acer because afaik they are a cheap laptop manufacturer.

If you want a reliable reviews on newer laptops, I would suggest youtube Dave Lee, he has some good reviews in my opinion, that might be useful to you.

I don't own a laptop myself, but if I had to get one, it would be a Lenovo/ThinkLad. My brother has an old Alienware Dell computer and it still runs flawlessly. ?

I have never bought a laptop because of their high price with a low performance.
I suggest HP or Lenovo

I own a Dell and it's really best bang for the buck. I feel like their quality on the XPS has improved a lot on the last years and their support is amazing. The only downside it's the release of the same laptop year over year, making it a bit confusing.

It is important that when you buy, you buy a well-known brand and that your configuration is as good as possible.

I have used Lenovo laptops for years. I currently have 3, and they are built like tanks. I've never had a problem with one-- they can take all kinds of abuse, and they have that fantastic, convenientpointing stick in the middle of the keyboard.

All brands are debatable but I like Lenevo's thinkpad series
