Always depends on when you can afford to get in and if you can afford to do it. I'd recommend only about 1% of your net worth in Crypto.

It all depends, crypto now seems to follow the US stock market. You can play stocks, you can play crypto... It is up to you where you see the opportunites to buy low and sell high.

I had some off the wall coins and did alright; lost it all gambling

Just consider it just like you would a speculative stock on a small cap company - higher rewards but higher risks. So gambling, really at this point in time with no-one knowing what the world is doing.
