What should i watch first

I have never watched any anime and do not know where to watch it can anyone help me with what to start with and where to watch it.

i'd start by looking into genres of other things you like; do you like action movies? scary/psychological thriller? myanimelist has a really good rated list of animes that you can select by genre that are ranked by users.

100% start with Darling in the FranXX man that anime made me crying and left me empty for a few days after, it's such a beautiful anime.

Go for Sword Art Online. Best anime so far. Sick plot, animations and characters.

arguably the easiest genre to get into is shonen, & i'd start by watching hunter x hunter

Akira is an absolute classic of the genre, then you have titles such as the Lens man, I'd go as far as to say its all good
