So I've been playing an odd series of Russian games called King's Bounty. They are heavily, and I mean very heavily, inspired by the Heroes of Might and Magic games from the 90's. The creator of those games made an even older game in the 80's also called King's Bounty which had some of the elements found in this series. Anyways, for those folks who loved the Heroes games in the 90's and have felt that Ubisoft's efforts don't capture what made those games special, maybe give this a shot? King's Bounty: Legend is the first game and it is about a decade old now so don't expect the latest visuals. Also you just control a single hero and his army in this game, not an entire faction like in Heroes. There are factions, though, each with their own units that your hero can recruit. And gameplay wise, outside of not upgrading a faction it plays exactly like the old Heroes games.

I've been playing a lot of Diablo 2: PoD (a soft mod community for D2:LoD)
It's been an absolute blast - really holds up in today's gaming world

I could definitely recommend guild wars 2. Love playing that game. Great stories

Thanks for all these recommendations mate! I was looking for some good RPGs to play while waiting on Cyberpunk.

The new Tomb Raider series is pretty solid. Great graphics, more action/shooter oriented than the puzzle solving/acrobatic ones of last gen. Bonus is they can all be found pretty cheap now. I think I paid ~$40 for all 3. Good for a couple playthroughs too.

I also loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution (again can be found cheap now). The sequel Mankind Divided is so-so. Looks better, but the story doesn't really pull you in like the first one. Controls feel wonky too. Might be good for completionists though.

3 words, RED DEAD REDEMPTION. This game was not a game, it was a movie. It was an experience. I hope Rock Star comes up with a 3rd game for PS5. if you haven't played it, you should definitely try it (if you like adventure games)
