Do you see colors the same way that I see colors?

I'm not talking about color blindness, I'm asking if you think that we just colors differently. If you see your red as my blue. we can't really know! We cant compare it to anything because if I ask "Well is your red the same color as blood?", that doesn't work! because if you see your red as my purple or any other color blood would also be that color and it would look completely normal to you. if that true then then all of the colors such as green purple, orange, and so on are just symbols to what you see red as.

bro i mean technically that question can't be answered because there is no way to see how you see colors, everyone could see colors differently and we wouldn't know

I think it's easy to say that we probably see close enough to each other's colors, since otherwise colorblindness tests would be a lot more unreliable if I perceived the number/letter and background as distinct, but you perceived the colors in your mind as pretty similar. Or we see colors with similar levels of distinction but like, shifted to the left. It's just impossible to tell for sure.

Well, I am colorblind so I am going to say most likely not. But on a deeper level there is no way to really know. Like most things, it is not certain but more of just widely accepted to the point of being certain.

We know FOR SURE that come people see color differently based on the different color blindness. It's impossible to say if we all interpret color even if we have the same spectrum, but I think it's interesting that people who see fewer colors (aka the color blind) have more contrast and see movement better.

Yeah, that same thing has been bugging for a time, and I find it interesting that if it was true, then that would explain why different people have different opinions when matching colors.

As for you to give the idea of blood, some see it brown, others red or dark red, or even black.

I've got tritanomaly (partial blue-yellow colorblindness) so probably not. Yellows, oranges, pinks, greens and metallic colors like bronze and gold are all muddled up for me. As are some blues but that seems less affected.

I've read that some of how we perceive colors has to do with our relative number/distribution of types of receptor cells in our eyes (rods and cones), which enable us to see and distinguish between different shades and also light and dark. That's actually how we know that animals perceive colors differently than we do, because of the difference in proportions of the types of receptor cells they have!
