Crusader Kings 3 feels easier?

Title explains it.

I've played CK2 for a good 500 hours and was really excited for CK3.

After playing it, I can agree that the UI has definitely made the game more enjoyable,

However, the game just feels much more scripted? It feels like they removed a large portion of the "chance" aspect of the game, and
replaced it with a progress system.

Wondering if any other veteran player feels the same way as I do.

Been playing for 20 hours right now and I cant handle to stay alive after my 3. generation son :/ It's kinda harder for me right now. Hope to get used to it.
