Defunding Police

Yeah I think it should have been phrased as "Reduce Police funding" instead of defund the Police. I do completely agree, I live in a rural Canadian town of 5000 people and I'm not kidding you can't drive around town without seeing at least two to three separate police cruisers, it's pretty ridiculous for a town this size

they should be defunded 100%. omst cops are shit. Not even trained correctly.

Problem is you Americans have guns and the police are paranoid.

Funding should go to training and proper de-escalation tactics. Something has to change, people shouldn't be dying to no-knock warrants and counterfeit $20 bills

Or they could just educate the police better. Defunding wouldn't solves anything and would cause a massive crime increase.

A world without order is chaos. The police just need to remember they're not above the law, and be shown more training into how to not let them get above there heads.

Most police in the UK are fine normal people and just doing there jobs.
Police in America have to be brutal because you crazy motherfuckers carry guns anywhere, and nobody knows who's gonna draw on each other, so it's understandable why people die from police shootings.

We wouldn't need police if there was no crime.
We wouldn't have as much crime if there was education and funding to poverty struck area's.
If Boss'swern't greedy and theys took paycuts, the workers would look after their buisness's for them and in turn it woiuld grow. Productivity would go up, happiness would go up, population growth would slow, Win win situation.

Defunding the police is not a good idea - demilitarizing the police might be a better one. The police needs more training and more staff. If you give police men miliary grade equipment and military grade training then guess what the citizen become the enemy. Defunding would also mean less payment - guess what kind of people still would like to do this kind of job

I think if the police did their job well enough and the correct way without murdering innocent people, then defunding the police wouldn't be a choice. But here we are, society is heavily militarized not just in the U.S but everywhere. No one respects the police anymore because they're supposed to be protecting us not the other way around.

This is a crazy idea defended by rich white people. No other way around it
