Which operating system do you prefer and why?

I do like Windows 10 mostly. When I say Windows, it's not because I have started with it as my first operative system, but because of the fact that it really has nice optimization, nice UI, and a lot of supported apps. I'm also using Linux, which is my 2nd favorite.

It's a "good" compromise as you could potentially keep all or part of your lock screen, but in any case you need to run the lock screen on your PC. There's no point of running it, because you're locked into Windows 10 so your PC is not running as your primary console.

I use Windows 10 but i really love the design of MacOS a lot.

Windows 10 is to go, I am using a tweaked version of Windows 10 latest update, besides all new games support mostly only Windows 10, if you want a bloatware-free Windows 10, go to youtube and search GhostSpectre Windows 10

Windows 10 Pro, debloated of course, Cortana off, OneDrive off, and all that. If I had to say why? Game and program compatibility hands down. I've ran Linux (SteamOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, etc) over the years and the compatibility is always the issue.

Always been a Windows boi. It's just what I'm used to and what I've been using all of my life. I also like to play video games, so Windows just tends to win out any arguments for other OS.
Also - Other OS are just so awkward to use in comparison. But that's maybe just because I've been using Windows for like 20 years now.

MacOS definitively. Very stable, and reliable. Also offers unix security, flexibility and programming. Otherwise, mostly linux on servers...

I like Windows. It was my first system that I had contact with and because it is more popular it has more program options and it is more profitable to develop for it if the focus is on home users.
