Getting back in

I use to play Cs:Go a long time ago but got a Vac ban.
I haven't played in three years.
I was just wondering if the community is still the same and the gameplay?
And what major changes have been made in the pas three years.

I started with CS Source, and just played meme maps like Simpsons and surf and so on. Was fun, I just downloaded the new CS GO on the mac and will give it a try

I also wonder, what happened to the community since it went free-to-play.
