I thought it was a very entertaining movie. I really enjoyed Snowpiercer by the director as well.

I did not happen to see the trailers and only saw the banners briefly and read about it rarely. I always thought it was a Korean Zombie movie, that is SURPRISINGLY being nominated for the Oscars. I made my mind one day to watch horror movie and chose Parasite. The start of the movie I was really really nervous of a jump scare popping up anytime. I do have me dumb moments.

Bong Joon Ho's films are dripping with deeply political subtext, and it's at full strength in Parasite. I'd absolutely recommend it. What I find the most interesting is how different people respond to the different characters, and where their sympathies lie come the end of the film.

It is a very special movie. Nearly every scene was unpredictable.

The social commentary can be heavy handed at moments, but overall y deserves the awards it got and more.
