Is mining still profitable in 2020?

Mining Btc is getting harder by the years, crypto is starting to get unprofitable

I have looked into it but from what I understood it wouldn't be worth it for me due to the cost of electricity and only using 1 machine.

Mining BTC is getting harder every day plus the cost to entry is increasing.

Monero can still be mined using your normal PC. Don't expect much profit here though

I started mining Monero casually back in 2016, then didn't think much of it. I wish I just bought a few coins when it was ~$12. I had no idea it got so valuable in 2018, and I had no idea the bubble burst so bad.
