No, this game is absolutely free and you can get from free section to normal just playing(suffering) to ~20 lvl. So i think, this game will not be dead, until new Counter-Strike will go out

I turned away from CS to R6S shortly after it became free to play, purely because of the influx in people wanting to spinbot. Rank isn't everything, of course you want to better your rank but locked in for 30 minutes+ with someone just spinning, sucked the fun away for me. It's by no means dead, it's just not as popular as it once was but that is also down to other available games, people getting tired of it and just age.

Not yet, but let's be real, less and less players playing this game. And right now there are newer and better games which takes a lot of players from it
