Part 5feels like a completely different show from the first 4 parts. I dont know why it feels different it could be due to the animation style being somewhat different or maybe it could be the overall tone of the show.
RE: Is it just me or does Jojo's Bizzare Adventure part 5 feel different than parts 1-4
Definitely, especially the second season is where things get really awesome. If you start on the first season and find it too hard to get through I suggest dropping it and just going onto the second season, the storyline kind of reboots there so you can safely skip the first one and a lot of people recommend it but I think it's worth watching the first season at least once.
The show is not super old or anything, art still holds up very well and they have English Dub if you are into that.
I've actually just started re-watching the second season last Friday and already hooked again.
@OP I think that Part 4 felt the most out of place to me since it just took place in one location and they spent a lot more time focusing onthe one villain. The rest of the series they have been travelling from place to place constantly. Also the artsyle changed a lot with all the different colors, it was a pretty cool arc solving that mysterybut very different.

I mean it still keeps its trademark logic leaps and twistplus the villain of the week format that started in Part 3. Part 5 imo doesn't drag itself out like Part 3's adaptation did. It's definitely a more serious than other parts cause of mafia plot. The other ones would occasionally throw somejokes or even gag villain, and villains would even be spared in most cases, but P5 doesn't play around as much as3 and 4 did.
