PC Which Skyrim is better to play mods with?

there are a lot of mods that weren't ported into SSE but the community for Legendary is almost if not completely dead. so you should stick with SSE

Depends really on the mods you're after playing, there are more mods for standard but most are interchangeable, just remember the SKSE is different for each version of the game and that can be a deciding factor.

SSE's textures are more detailed with mods unlike the LE version of Skyrim.
