Defunding the police is fine as long as we reduce gun control laws and increase viable self defense laws by including property rights as well. Can't have one but not the other!
Well, we can have neither police nor property rights

I don't think defunding the police is a good idea. Id rather them have more money to get better training. I often see "defund the police" and also "Train them" You need money to train them better.

Defnitely defund the police! They have too much money and power as an organisation. The budget does not need to be so large, yes still pay them a fair amount but the budget should be distributed so other organisations such as education can have more money as greater education also leads to lower crime rates.

You're wrong. The stats show even in the African American community, defunding the police isn't a terribly popular idea. If anything they need more funding for better training in areas they lack. This argument of sending social workers to domestic disputes is going to get social workers killed. Reducing police directly increases crime, so does police having fear in doing their jobs. It's already sky rocketing in major cities as of late.

I'd have more money in terms of education given to them personally. Where I'm from most policing agencies won't even look into hiring you unless you have a bachelor's degree, life experience, and volunteer experience. Also gotta be at least twenty five with some exceptions. Then the process can take over a year to get in. Then they train you at police academy.

I live in a very small town, with some drug problems nothing extreme but our local police purchased an armored mil-spec assault vehicle while our teachers are paying for classroom supplies out of pocket. Fund education so there is less need for police.

Sure defund the police, but then when your house is being broken into who will you call? The ghost busters?

Defunding the police doesnt mean getting rid of the police. I dont know why thats such a hard concept for people to grasp. Defund isnt disband..

if the police gets defunded and there are less forces out in the streets, I wonder if big corporations and the wealthy will just hire private bodyguards while the normal people are left to hope for the best? i would assume both good and bad cops would be reduced in numbers, idk.

Defunding the police is not smart, if anything they need more training etc..... Defunding them means less training, etc... The things within law enforcement that need to happen is community policing, but in order for that, you have to do the complete opposite of defunding the police lol just my 0.02
