In Gotham City, mentally troubled comedian Arthur Fleck is disregarded and mistreated by society. He then embarks on a downward spiral of revolution and bloody crime. This path brings him face-to-face with his alter-ego: the Joker.
It was a fantastic movie,Joaquin Phoenix did a great job with his acting, lots of memorable moments and most importantly all the memes

I thought Pheonix was AMAZING in that movie. The movie itself was really good, but there were a few things that could have been tweaked in my opinion. The reveal about his GF not being real was a little hamfisted in my opinion. I didn't need that drawn out flashback... but other than that... excellent. I don't think I want to see this movie connect to anything else though. It kinda felt like a mic drop moment (along with an ad for the Sanders 2020 campaign)

I am very surprised how they created such a well-developed brilliant picture with such a small budget

Well I guess ill add myself to this jerkfest and say that I enjoyed this movie more than most other movies out of Hollywood. And I am amazed how it is possible to portray The Joker in two vasty different ways (Ledger and Phoenix) and still end up with both interpretations being absolutely right!

Unpopular opinion but it wasnt that good. Like it's just Taxi Driver/King of Comedy mixed into one without really adding anything new or interesting and portrays the mentally ill as childish, immature, and unhinged. The ending after the talk show scene felt weak too and the "points" it tried to make (or unintentionally made if you listen to Todd Phillips speak) felt contrived. Joaquin Phoenix was stellar and it was shot well but aside from that I wasn't thrilled

I mean the movie was well done had a powerful character with a good backstory but it was still wayyyy over hyped and people just said they like it as its the joker and I mean why not but still.

It was a really great representation of the society's ignorance on mental illness.
