A lot of girls are blowing up right now in countries where ppl listen to a lot of Hip-Hop.

I wanted to know if you listen to them, and which artists stick with you the most.
I'm currently helping a French media writing a paper on this and want opinions from diverse places.

Personally, I'm really into French and UK artists like Lala &ce, Flohio and LousAndTheYakuzas these days.

doja cat while most of her "blown up" songs sound really mainstream, has a lot of potential in terms of flow and genres she manages.

Yeah ! It's amazing, as Doja is for me one of the only artist who basically blew up from a meme, to be able to be fully acknowledged in the industry, with cosign by Tyga, Juicy J and everything.
But she is more of a pop than a hip-hop artist to me tbh

true, she turned really quickly to pop after say so blew up. but everytime she features in songs she raps and also in some of her own so i consider her rap/hip-hop

For real, she kinda like a Post Malone to me, with that Hip-Hop/Pop fusion.
Even if post showed some affinities with rock and country.

Loved her feat with Tyga tho.

I listen to a lot of female rappers. Some of the women from the 90s went alot harder than some of these male rappers. Lil Kim, Foxy, Gangsta Boo, Left Eye ect. Nowadays I rock with Latto, Doja Cat , and Megan Thee Stallion. Nicki is talented as well despite the hate that she gets.

But if y'all want some more "rapper" type hip-hop artists. Please look what's going on in the UK with artists such as Little Simz, Flohio or Phoebs.
If you wan straight bars, great flows and technique, theses artists are the best rn for me. Closely followed by the French collective 667.
