I think it will be a better engine overall, but i dont know, it could be a revival for CSGO and its playerbase.

Don't think we'll be seeing it ported over, either valve will make a new one or the CS game itself dies out with CSGO being it's final hurrah

CS:GO might not be ported to source 2, not worth it. I would say they will make a new game from the CS branch. They had a lot of success over the years and will have. All they really have to do is fix the anti-cheat, then they are good to go to add more and more features. ( faceit can have a good ac, why wouldn't csgo be able to have one like it too? - ironically, I have an answer to that, but cba to write it down )

I sort of read that there will be a transition and nothing really will change. There will simply be fewer bugs. There is not much to count on.

cs go will not be ported to the new engine because it is already obsolete Feelsbadman

I think CSGO could be in source 2 but in like 2 years. It will change a lot of things like the cheats because the engine will change so a lot of features will surely change.

No, Valve is simply not profitable to switch to a new engine, but the new CS: Source 2 may be ...
