Looks like some people fail to see why we need to revoke section 230. Twitter acting all rouge because they have that federal shield in front of them.

I personally think they Twitter are in the wrong for banning Trump. Yes he says a lot of stupid things but so do millions of others?

China is banning Twitter, Twitter is banning the US president.

Well, I think it was the right thing to do since he posted some stuff that violated the TOS, but even if they banned him, they still wont ban shit that is straight up illegal like CP.

I believe he violated Twitter rules, and Twitter itself claimed that he was using it to incite new acts of violence.
Hey!

He was their most active user what do you mean?! No seriously, I'm glad they did, he was acting like an AI designed to spout a random comment every 10 minutes

I mean, doesn't the 1st amendment stop coming to play when it comes to calls of violence or hatred? Because I didn't really see any of that. He did say a lot of dumb shit tho.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
First amendment has nothing to do with banning someonefrom twitter. People paraphrase the 1st amendment and get the actual meaning of it wrong.
It prevents congress from restricting what you can say. You can't just go around being a neo-naziand homophobic and expect not to get banned from online platforms because they don't want to be associated with that shit, I'm not saying Trump did that I'm just using it as an example.

He had so many funny tweets that it really sucks that he is gone. They should have just taken his ability to tweet away, rather than nuke the whole account and all the tweets.

I think Twitter should have respect for free speech!

He broke the terms of service and directly used his account to incite an insurrection. What's not clicking? He deserved to have his account stripped ages ago.

If you do something dumb on THIS website and you get banned, it's not infringing on your freedom of speech. You disobeyed the rules you agreed to when you signed the terms and conditions of the website. Same applies here. Freedom of Speech protects you from the government, not from a website saying bye felicia.
