How do you discover new music?

Spotify but i'm also looking for some better & faster ways so this thread is quite helpful

usually youtube or just finding a song that I like and looking up other musicians in that genre, I tend to like certain songs from artists and not everything they make

I'm not exactly part of the millennial or boomer generation but there's something so nostalgic about going to a vinyl store and randomly picking something up, apart from that though Spotify usually has spot on recommendations. Occasionally I'll randomly torrent something popular and find that it's my type.

I mainly discover new music through close friends of mine, that or through Youtubes autoplay feature. I rarely use Spotify anymore on my phone because of the constant ads (which do not guarantee 30 minutes of ad-free music like they promise). I'll only listen to one genre of music/one artist, and that's Eminem or NF.

I love retro music. I often listen to old radio stations and pick up what I like on my playlist and then I listen to all albums and songs from these bands. I think it is unnatural nowadays to listen to music on the radio when we have big sources such as Apple Music, Spotify, and others. But I like radio especially when it comes to old rock radio stations.

I use pandora, youtube, and sometimes just search some new songs or type of genres or music i might like. Their is alot of genres to pick from and you might be able to find some unknown singers and bands that no one has heard of and you start liking bands just starting to get big in this world. Try to also go out to bars or clubs more that have bands playing at them and try to make friends in the community and find some people who might like the same stuff and tell you bands or people you never heard of before. Also band camp is another way to find new music and help support them if you like them.

I usually check youtube newest released music, or i check my favorite bands new songs monthyl to check if there is a new release
