How do you discover new music?

I listen to the radio stations while I work and if I hear something good I immediately add it to the playlist. Later on I research the artist because there will be something similar in style of the first song I found.

I use Spotify pretty much for all my new music.

With youtube music recomendation, I.A is really strong

You should use Spotifie's "Discover Weekly". Helped me a lot.

Honestly, if you're really into discovering indie artists, there are a ton of good music from soundcloud. You just have to find the gems in the rough.

Until recently I relied mostly on Spotify algorithm, but now that I'm looking to more specific types of music I found that the best way are forums or facebook groups

Well it really depends. Recently i discovered a lot of artists listening to OST and looking at the the rest of the work of the musicians present on the album. I also love the "Discover it weekly" feature on Spotify which has the advantage to search artist that you are susceptible to like even tho you mostly didn't listen to them yet. I also go to connex artists when i love something.
More rarely ( especially since the covid started ) i go to a Vinyl store in Paris and talk with the owner who has an incredible musical culture and try what he has to offer
