#1 So for my shame I never updated past 3.6 or so,, never felt the inclination for paying more and more money every year as in version 4 at the time was so unstable and I had great trouble converting the database with errors everywhere :(
I had a dedicated server until last month, finances meant I could no longer afford it although had it for 8 years :(
I have moved to a shared platform with no access to PHP versions of Mysql versions I use and cannot for the life of me fix the thing. what makes matters worse is sql is not my strong point.
My error is this
I have imported the sql database using Heidi sql in all formats it has to offer with same result :(
the main error in SQL files is this one
would trying to upgrade this sort it or does any body know the cache_store structure,
The site had a massive user base for a certain brand of cars and 20 years worth of posts I would hate to loose.
I have 3 sites the same but if I fix one I can probably fix all 3 as between them there are 100k members of which maybe 10k were active :(

This issue is generally caused by changing your character set in the ACP to one that does not support data stored in the rest of your settings, or by restoring a database backup/completing a server transfer and importing your database tables using the wrong character set or collation. You should contact IPS Technical Support for further assistance.
